Each Leader Has a Different Ability, and I’ve Grown by Playing Under Dhoni, Rohit, and Virat: Jasprit Bumrah

The fifth and final test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, India's test captain Rohit Sharma will not play. Rohit decided not to participate and has let coach Gautam Gambhir and Ajit Agarkar, the chairman of selectors, know about it. They both are potentially important to his decision. Since Rohit won't be there, Jasprit Bumrah, the pacer, is probably going to be the person in charge of the team when they flip the coin at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Friday morning.

Rohit's future in the Indian Test team seems uncertain because some are saying the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne could be his final match for India. With the World Test Championship cycle beginning soon with a tour in England during the summer, he might not play in it. Since India doesn't have a big chance of reaching the WTC final now, not having Rohit might mean he is finished with this part of the competition.

Bumrah said "When I came into the side - MS Dhoni was the Captain and I have played under Rohit for long time and I have played under Virat for my Test Debut, all of them are different captain's, everybody has different abilities and different kind of leadership skills so you learn from everyone".

Gill, who didn't play in the Melbourne test, is going to return and play instead of Rohit. He's going to hit at number three. KL Rahul is going to begin the opening batting with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Rishabh Pant is still expected to be in the team, and since Akash Deep is hurt and can't play in the last part of the series, Prasidh Krishna is taking his spot.

Rohit showed up for practice much later than everyone else and didn't do the slip fielding drills like he usually does. Before the match, Gambhir launched into some deep conversations with Bumrah while they were doing fielding practice. When Rohit did make it, he only spent a short time at the nets, working with side arm bowlers.
