Bumrah Calls Labuschagne 'The Luckiest Player' After Narrow Escapes
On day 4 of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, India and Australia both had their good and challenging moments. India obtained a strong 369 runs in the first innings then, when Australia started batting, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj got rid of their top-order players quickly, leading to a big fall in their game.
Marnus Labuschagne really stepped up even though Sam Konstas, Steve Smith, and Travis Head were dismissed quickly and Australia was in a difficult situation. Labuschagne was fortunate a few times, one important moment was in the 54th over when a pitch from Bumrah nearly touched his bat but instead went straight to Rishabh Pant's hands. The Indian team was extremely annoyed by this and the incident got a large amount of attention online.

Jasprit Bumrah on the stump mic, called Labuschagne “probably the luckiest player I have seen in my entire life” as he returned to bowl. The remark has been widely shared online, adding more drama to an already thrilling contest.
Australia Builds a 333-Run Lead Before Day 5
Australia had a hard time at the start of their second innings after India put up 369 runs. Early losses of lose of wickets put them in a difficult situation. Yet, Marnus Labuschagne and Captain Pat Cummins managed to make everything steady. Labuschagne knocked 70 runs from 139 balls, and Cummins added 41 runs to the score.
Australia wrapped up day 4 with a score of 228/9, Nathan Lyon scored a solid 41 runs without getting out from 54 balls, they already have a 333-run lead as the final day approaches, their goal now is to add a few more runs and set a tough score for India to chase.
