BCCI Sparks Controversy by Refusing to Print Pakistan’s Name on India’s Jersey for Champions Trophy 2025
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is going to kick off on 19 February. Pakistan is hosting this prestigious ninth edition of the ICC Champions Trophy. The matches will be played in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. Only the Indian team matches will be played in Dubai.
According to the reports from IANS, The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is facing criticism before starting the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the reports suggest that the BCCI has rejected to print the hostname on team India's jersey, this issue sparks a major controversy.

Due to this issue, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials blamed the BCCI for mixing politics into cricket. According to the official, refusing to include Pakistan's name on India's jerseys is another example of bringing politics into the cricket game.
PCB Blames BCCI for Mixing Politics with Cricket
Also, The BCCI had decided not to send the Indian captain Rohit Sharma to the tournament's opening ceremony which will take place in the National Stadium Karachi. The PCB expressed disappointment with this decision.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials are hoping that the International Cricket Council (ICC) will step in to address the issue. The PCB board believes that the ICC will consider that issue as cricket's governing body will ensure fairness and respect for Pakistan as the official host of the tournament.
