BCCI Cancels India A Warm-Up Match Ahead of Australia Test Series

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has canceled the planned intra-squad warm-up match against India A, originally scheduled from November 15-17 at WACA Stadium in Perth. This match was intended to prepare the Indian team for the highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against Australia. Instead, the team will focus on training, including net sessions and match simulations over the three days. Following India's training, Australia is expected to use the same facilities for their preparations. Steve Smith commented on the significance of practicing in similar conditions to those at Optus Stadium, emphasizing that the team's practice at WACA will be beneficial. In previous tours, India has engaged in warm-up matches against local domestic sides, but this time they are opting for an intra-squad game.
