BBL 2024-25: Dan Christian transitions from being an assistant coach to a replacement player for Sydney Thunder
Sydney Thunder has just signed Dan Christian, who play's in many positions for Australia's cricket team, to join their team because several players were injured during the Big Bash League (BBL) season. Christian, who's been as an assistant coach with the team for the last couple of years, is now set to play in their next match on Monday, January 6 against Brisbane Heat.
Due to five players not being able to play, Christian made his way back to the group. He last played a game against Brisbane Heat in the BBL's 2022-23 season. Jason Sangha, a key player can't take part because he hurt his bicep and Tanveer Sangha is also out with a side problem. Sam Konstas can't make it either since he's playing for the national team.
Then, Cameron Bancroft and Daniel Sams became seriously hurt after they crashed into each other during a recent match. Bancroft won't play again this season because he broke his nose and shoulder, and Sams is taking time off for a few games because he got a concussion.
