Reportedly, Sri Lanka, who won the last Asia Cup T20 edition, earned around USD 200,000 (approx Rs 1.6 crore). Now, as per reports, the prize money for the upcoming edition is set to increase, and if Suryakumar Yadav-led India win the competition, they would earn around USD 300,000 (almost Rs 2.6 crore). Almost half the price from last season will shoot up as the winners will get a hefty amount to win the mega event.

India have been drawn into a relatively comfortable group for the tournament. They will face Pakistan, Oman, and hosts UAE in the opening stage. While Pakistan are expected to be the toughest challenge, India should fancy their chances of reaching the Super 4.
