Abdullah Shafique Sets An Unfortunate Record With Three Consecutive Ducks

Abdullaeh Shafiqu just got his third zero score in the same number of matches, which is very unfortunate. This makes him the first opening batter to get three zeroes in a series with three matches.

Before him, Martin Guptill was the only other opening batter who obtained zero three times in a series but he was a longer series of seven games against Sri Lanka in 2015.

Only one other batter who has ever scored three ducks in a three-match ODI series is India's Suryakumar Yadav. He earned this unwanted record last year against Australia, with three golden ducks in a row.
