Sophia Dunkley
Sophia Dunkley is a dynamic English right-handed batter and leg-spin bowler, known for her attacking style and being the first Black woman to play Test cricket for England (debut 2021), making significant impacts in all formats for England and domestic teams like Surrey and Trent Rockets. Born July 16, 1998, she earned her first central contract in 2021 and has since become a key, explosive player, especially in T20s where she can open and accelerate the scoring.

Domestic Success: Was the leading run-scorer in the 2019 Women's County Championship and helped Surrey Stars win the Kia Super League title in 2018.
ICC Finals: Reached the final of the 2018 ICC Women's World T20 and the final of the 2022 ICC Women's World Cup with England.
WPL Record: Held the record for the fastest fifty in Women's Premier League (WPL) history for a period, achieved in 18 balls while playing for Gujarat Giants.
Personal Life/background
Dunkley was introduced to cricket by a neighbor and honed her skills playing in boys' teams at the youth level. She attended Mill Hill School on a sports scholarship and studied sports science at Loughborough University.
