Corey Anderson’s Bio

  • Corey Anderson is a hard-hitting left-handed all-rounder. He became the youngest New Zealander to earn a professional contract at 16, and broke Shahid Afridi’s record for the fastest ODI hundred (36 balls) in 2014. In 2020, he moved to the USA and became eligible to represent the United States in 2023.

He made his USA debut in April 2024 and played a key unbeaten 34 in a T20I win over Bangladesh. At the 2024 T20 World Cup (co-hosted by USA), he helped his team reach the Super Eight, including a victory over Pakistan. Later in 2024, he captained San Francisco Unicorns to the MLC final with a spectacular catch. However, his batting form dipped; he was dropped from USA squads for the Netherlands tour in August 2024. Injuries and poor runs continued into 2025. By March 2026, San Francisco Unicorns parted ways with him. Still, his experience remains valuable for USA cricket.
