WTC Points Table Update: ICC World Test Championship Standings After PAK vs WI 2nd Test, 2025

On Monday, January 27, 2025, Pakistan and the West Indies finished playing their second Test. They played at the Multan Cricket Stadium. It was the last game in their two-game series. The West Indies cricket team did not win the first game, but they came back very strong in the next game. They defeated the home team by 120 runs. The two games they played a test series, ended with 1-1. They did an excellent job getting better after losing.

The West Indies team decided to bat first but it was hard for them. They did not bat well, and the spinners from the other team made it tough. They didn't score many runs and were in trouble when they only had 54 runs and lost 8 players. But then the players who batted at the end tried their best and did great. They helped the team make over 150 runs.

Gudakesh Motie did well and scored 50 runs, Kemar Roach scored 25 runs and Jomel Warrican scored 36 runs. They all played so skillfully that the West Indies team showed Pakistan that they needed to get 163 runs to win. And Noman Ali took 6 wickets.

The team with Shan Masood as the captain didn't play well. Mohammad Rizwan scored 49 runs and Saud Shakeel scored 32 runs. They played well, but the other players didn't do so well. No one else scored more than 20 runs. Their team scored only 154 runs and trailed by 9 runs.

In the ICC World Test Championship, the West Indies defeated Pakistan by 120 runs to level the series at 1-1

The West Indies cricket team did very well the second time they innings. Their captain, Kraigg Brathwaite did an amazing job and scored 55 runs. Amir Jangoo played well and scored 30 runs. Tevin Imlach, scored 35 runs. Kevin Sinclair scored 28 runs. Because everyone worked together, they made 244 runs in total. This means Pakistan has to score 254 runs to win.

Pakistan's cricket team didn't play well. First, Shan Masood and Muhammad Hurraira got out inordinately speedily. Babar Azam scored 31 runs.

It was hard for Pakistan's team to score runs because they were losing players back-to-back. Mohammad Rizwan tried very hard and scored 29 runs. But then he got out too, and everyone could see that the West Indies spinners, who bowl tense manner, were very hard to bat. Because of this, the West Indies team won and secured their first win in Pakistan after 34 long years. They beat Pakistan by 120 runs.
