WTC 2025-27 Points Table Updated: Who's Leading After India vs England Series

Team India moved up to third place in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 points table after beating England by six runs in a nail-biting finish at The Oval on Monday. With this result, the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy ended in a draw. India had earlier won the second Test in Birmingham and held their nerve to draw the fourth Test in Manchester.
The England team, which looked ahead in the match until Day 4, completely collapsed on Day 5. On the final day of the Oval Test, Team India defeated England by 6 runs. When Prasidh Krishna clean bowled Josh Tongue as the last wicket, the celebration of the Indian team was a sight to behold.
In the dressing room, head coach Gautam Gambhir and the players were seen jumping with joy. This is India’s narrowest win ever in terms of runs in Test cricket. With this, the 5-match series ended in a 2-2 draw.
India now has two wins and a draw from five matches, giving them 28 points and a PCT (points percentage) of 46.67. Before this Test, India were sitting in fourth place. The top two teams in the WTC standings are Australia with a perfect 100% PCT and Sri Lanka with 66.67%.
England, after drawing the series, slipped to fourth with 26 points and a 43.33% PCT. Meanwhile, Bangladesh and the West Indies are still looking for their first win in this WTC cycle. South Africa, Pakistan, and New Zealand are yet to begin their campaigns.
