Delhi Capitals put on a solid bowling display before their batters, led by Niki Prasad, held their nerves to clinch a close two-wicket win over Mumbai Indians in a nail-biting last-ball finish in the Women’s Premier League on Saturday.

DC chose to bowl first and bowled out MI for 164 in 19.1 overs. The star batter Nat Sciver-Brunt led the Mumbai innings with his amazing unbeaten 80, while the Mumbai captain Harmanpreet Kaur scored a quick 42 runs in just 22. DC's star all-rounders Shikha Pandey and Annabel Sutherland were bowled very well, taking 2 and 3 wickets, respectively.

In the second innings, the star batter Shafali Verma gave a flying start in the powerplay with her explosive batting, scoring 43 runs in just 18 balls. However, Mumbai took Verma's wicket in the last over of the powerplay and nearly turned the game to their side.
