WPL 2026: Royal Challengers Bengaluru WPL 2026 Player Retentions & Releases

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) has set strict rules for team retentions ahead of the 2026 mega auction. Each franchise can keep a maximum of five players, with limits placed on the mix of Indian and overseas talent.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) kept four players for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) before the auction on November 27 in New Delhi. Captain Smriti Mandhana, along with Ellyse Perry, Richa Ghosh, and Shreyanka Patil, were retained by the 2024 champions.
"If a franchise opts to retain five players, Rs. 9.25 crore would be deducted from its purse, while for four, the deduction would be Rs. 8.75 crore; for three, it would be Rs. 7.75 crore; for two, Rs. 6 crore; and for one, Rs. 3.5 crore," the release stated.
