WPL 2026 Points Table Update After MI vs RCB Clash – Latest Standings

WPL 2026 Points Table Update After MI vs RCB Clash – Latest Standings

[ Poll: QLj2RJLR ]

RCB had won five matches in a row, but then there was a four-day break. After that, they have now lost two matches in a row, and both losses were quite one-sided. Even though MI won by just 15 runs, the match was mostly one-sided. The only reason the margin looked close was because Richa Ghosh played very fast in the last two overs. Before that, MI were clearly in control of the game.

Though, we must to doff our hats to the young wicket-keeper batter. The last 10 balls she faced read 6,6,6,1,4,0,6,6,0,W on the scorebook. Alas, she was always fighting a losing battle. Having said that, it is a night that will be etched in gold in the WPL lore. For tonight, we finally saw a batter score a hundred tonight. Perhaps, it was only fitting that it was Nat Sciver-Brunt who did it. She had never scored a T20 hundred before tonight either — a fact that might take some fans by surprise, after all, such has been her consistency across formats.

MI dominate RCB as Sciver-Brunt shines with a century

She came out to bat when MI lost Sajana early, took some time to get in and then unleashed one cracking shot after the other. Everything off her bat sounded like music to ears and appeared like poetry in motion. There was hardly anything brash about the way she unfurled her strokes, yet the ball raced to the fence like a missile several times. Needless to mention that her gap-picking was enviable and drool-worthy at times.

Hayley Matthews played the perfect sidekick. It was not her most brutal innings, but was surely a very important one, especially given that injury kept her out of action at the start of the tournament. Harmanpreet Kaur also played her part with a 12-ball-20. In the bowling, Lauren Bell's 2/21 was the only saving grace. MI scored 199/4 and it was not long before RCB found themselves huffing and puffing like an amateur mountaineer at the base of Everest.

They lost half their side in the powerplay, thanks to Shabnam Ismail's pace and exuberance, Matthews' smarts and some poor execution of shots from their batters. The only good that came off that was that it allowed Ghosh to play herself in and then launch a blitzkrieg towards the end. Nadine De Klerk, Arundhati Reddy and Shreyanka Patil supported her in different capacities throughout, but RCB needed more.
