ICC has already announced that the top 8 from the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 group stage will qualify for the tournament.
Sri Lanka ended at ninth in the group stage. It won only two of the nine matches it played in the tournament, one of its worst performances in the ODI World Cup.

He also notched a century against New Zealand with 143 in Dambulla. He maintained an average of over 50 while also dismissing 19 batters behind the stumps.
