Virat Kohli had a great start in IPL, slamming a match-winning inning for his team, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The man who helped his side to their first ever IPL victory last year seems all set to take his team to glory once again in IPL 2026.

But what adds a bit of spice to the mix is that despite Kohli hardly practicing for the upcoming tournament, his skills remained unaffected after he returned from his vacation in London. The Indian cricket legend was on a short vacation after the last One Day International match in January. He spent a couple of weeks in London with his family, enjoying the peace of London without any fans and media around him.

However, Kohli's London trip raised a lot of eyebrows among his fans on social media. In an interview with Danish Sait (Mr Nags), he took it lightly by cracking a joke on himself, saying, "Why are you asking me? Ask the overseas players. I am not an overseas player. Am I an overseas player?"

While discussing RCB’s much awaited IPL success, Kohli elaborated on how this particular moment meant so much to him. He described it by saying that it was a feeling of relief because the burden had been lifted and everything seemed light and relaxed.

Kohli has also shed light on the meaning of winning. As far as he believes, winning is a result of all the efforts put and sacrifices made. Winning makes one confident that their efforts have paid off. While defeat teaches a person something new, at times, it might hurt. However, winning after putting in such efforts makes things seem justified and motivating.
