Virat Kohli's struggles with deliveries outside off-stump persist as Scott Boland claims his wicket once more

During the last part of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, it was clear that Virat Kohli was still having a hard time with bowls outside the off stump. Kohli got out for only six runs after facing 12 ball and Steve Smith caught it at second slip. This was the fourth time in the series where Boland got Kohli out, same like James Anderson (2014) and Todd Murphy (2023) because they both also sent Kohli back to the bench four times in one Test series.

Kohli really hasn't been at his best in this series. He's scored a total of 190 runs from nine times to bat, which is an average of 23.75 per game. Those runs came from scores of 5, 100, 7, 11, 3, 36, 5, 17, and 6. But if you don't count the time he scored 100 in Perth, he only made 90 runs in the other eight games. At Sydney, when he got out, it was essentially the usual thing struggling against balls pitched outside off stump.

Boland got him with a smartly bowled delivery that was just the right length and angled away. Kohli edged the ball straight to Smith. He was very upset as he walked off the field.

In the series for Kohli, Boland really showed, only giving up 28 runs from 68 balls and getting Kohli out four times in six games. Kohli's game is definitely going to be watched closely as India tries to recover after the series. Everyone wants to know if he can fix the problems that have been happening with his game.
