Jasprit Bumrah Leaves Field Early with Injury Concern During Sydney Test

During the second day of the Sydney Test, after lunch, Jasprit Bumrah, who's not only India's main fast bowler but also the captain, had to exit the game early because he might have injury himself. Though it's not really clear what exactly got hurt, he ended up leaving the stadium.

The second day, Bumrah was doing extremely well in the series, doing very well with 32 wickets and an excellent record showing an average of 13.06. He was the best, taking more wickets than anyone else. After bowled 151.2 overs, only Pat Cummins from Australia had done more by 152 overs.

During the second day, Bumrah bowled Marnus Labuschagne out after bowling eight overs, which was really amazing but then, just after he started bowling again after a break, he had to leave the field. The fact is, Bumrah has been carrying a large amount of the work, far more than health for him, because the team depends so much on him and not many others are stepping up.

This has really placed him in a difficult position, risking getting hurt because he's been bowled a lot.

After the Melbourne Test, Rohit Sharma mentioned that Bumrah might be doing much. Sharma explained, 'When someone is performing really well, you naturally want to use their skills as much as you can. Sharma talked about using Bumrah as much as possible but also making sure not to overwork him. I always ask him how he's holding up and do my best to help with his work during training, Rohit added, highlighting the incredible weightiness of monitoring and, a little bit, adjusting Bumrah's workload.

Before this, when the second Test in Adelaide was happening, everyone was a little nervous because Bumrah was having some trouble with his groin while he was bowling. The referee had to check him in his 20th over but he didn't let it stop him. He just kept on demonstrating his skills the entire series, and even managed to tie the record with Harbhajan Singh for took the most wickets by any Indian in one Test series against Australia.
