Tamil Nadu Premier League 2025: Points Table, Top Run-Scorers & Wicket-Takers After SMP vs SS and ITT vs DD

Tamil Nadu Premier League 2025: Points Table, Top Run-Scorers & Wicket-Takers After SMP vs SS and ITT vs DDImpressive start to the 2025 Tamil Nadu Premier League season as they beat Siechem Madurai Panthers with six wickets and eight balls remaining. Chasing 165 for victory, the Salem Spartans didn't get the best start as Hari Nishaanth was bounced out by Gurjapneet Singh in the second over. The No.3 batter, Nidhish Rajagopal, started well, but Murugan Ashwin got rid of the Spartans' skipper, S Abishiek, in the 4th over. They rounded off the Powerplay without losing any more wickets while having scored 48 runs.

Panthers Seal Victory with Powerful Middle-Over Batting Surge

The southpaw Rajagopal continued to build a fine partnership with R Kavin for company. During the middle overs, the likes of Surya Anand and Karthik Meiyappan built pressure, but Surya gave away 13 runs in the 12th over as the Spartans started to get some momentum. The Panthers tried to get back into the contest again with Ashwin dismissing Rajagopal in the 14th over.

R Kavin and R Vivek joined forces to bag three sixes in Karthik Meiyappan's last over. Vivek's cameo came to an end in the next over as he holed out to deep backward square-leg off Gurjapneet Singh's bowling, but the result seemed a formality by then. At one end, R Kavin also struck a couple of sixes off Ashwin's last two deliveries to remove any doubt over the result. Eventually, Sunny Sandhu clipped a leg-side delivery from Gurjapneet to seal the match with eight balls to spare.

iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans Dominate with 9-Wicket Win Over Dindigul Dragons

A dominating win for iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans as they crush the Dindigul Dragons by 9 wickets with 49 balls remaining. A clinical all-round performance led by their bowlers and finished off in style by Tushar Raheja and Co.

R Sai Kishore won the toss and chose to bowl first, and his decision paid off brilliantly. Dindigul Dragons had a cautious start, but drama unfolded early as Shivam Singh burned both reviews in the opening over, and Ashwin was controversially given out LBW. From there, the innings went downhill. Terrific captaincy from Sai Kishore and a sensational debut by Esakkimuthu A, who impressed with raw pace and figures of 4/26, dismantled the Dragons for just 93 in 16.2 overs. M Mathivanan (3/12) was impressive too with the ball in hand for the Tamizhans.

In reply, iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans started cautiously, knowing there was no pressure chasing a small total. Ganeshan Periyaswamy made an immediate impact, striking with his very first delivery to dismiss Amith Sathvik for 13 off 11 balls. Despite an early setback, the ITT batters showed great composure and intent in the chase. Tushar Raheja was the standout performer, taking on the experienced Dragons bowling attack with ease as boundaries flowed from his bat.
