Smriti Mandhana Confirms Wedding Called Off with Palash Muchhal: "Time to Move Forward"
India women’s cricket star Smriti Mandhana has confirmed that her wedding with singer Palash Muchhal has been called off. This comes weeks after the couple postponed their wedding, even after some pre-wedding events had taken place. Smriti said she wants to focus on cricket and win more trophies for India.
On Instagram, Mandhana shared a story about the wedding news. She said the wedding is canceled and asked fans to respect the privacy of both families.

Earlier reports said Smriti Mandhana’s wedding was postponed because her father was rushed to a hospital in Sangli. The couple was originally going to marry on November 23. Soon after, reports said Palash Muchhal was also taken to the hospital.
Music composer Palash Muchhal also confirmed that his wedding with Indian women’s cricket star Smriti Mandhana has been called off. In a post on Instagram Stories, he said he has decided to move on from the relationship and asked people to stop spreading false rumors.
Muchhal also spoke about rumors saying the wedding was cancelled due to cheating. He called these rumors hurtful, false, and defamatory. He added that his team will take legal action against anyone spreading untrue information.

Smriti had recently shared a video on social media to confirm her engagement to Palash. Many of her teammates, including Jemimah Rodrigues and Shreyanka Patil, joined the wedding celebrations that were happening over a few days.
In cricket, Smriti was India’s top scorer and second overall in the Women’s World Cup 2025, scoring 434 runs at an average of 54.25, with one century and two half-centuries. Jemimah Rodrigues, who scored 127 runs in the semi-final against Australia, was named number 3 in the team of the tournament.
