Shreyas Iyer is recovering well from his spleen injury and has been discharged from a hospital in Sydney, the Indian Cricket Board said on Saturday, November 1. The middle-order batter was treated for a cut on his spleen and will stay in Sydney for some more check-ups before returning to India once doctors say he is fit to travel.
The BCCI thanked Dr. Kouroush Haghigi and his team in Sydney, along with Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala in India, for giving Iyer the best medical care. The board also shared that Iyer had a small surgery to fix the injury on his spleen.
