Ryan Rickelton's Century Lifts South Africa to Strong Position on Day 1 Against Pakistan
Ryan Rickelton, who was the opening to bat for South Africa, hit a first rate century, taking 135 balls to do it. This helped his team to 174 for 3 after they took a break for drinks. It was the first day of their second Test against Pakistan at Newlands on Friday. Rickelton managed to hit the ball to the edge of the field seven times during his time on the field but even with his amazing scoring, the Proteas ended up losing a few important players towards the end of that part of the game.
Rickelton will resume after the break alongside captain Temba Bavuma, who has yet to face a delivery.
The India won the fastest test by beating South Africa in only 107 overs and made a history.

Markram got caught by Mohammad Rizwan for just 17, thanks to Khurram Shahzad's bowling. It was not very good. Then Wiaan Mulder, who was in the team after being hurt and batting higher at number three, only made five runs and got caught by Rizwan, now off Mohammad Abbas' ball. Just before lunch, Rizwan was caught three wickets.
Tristan Stubbs was the unlucky man now, getting caught without even getting a run, after an edge off Salman Agha's spin.
Already making it to the World Test Championship final at Lord's in June, South Africa hopes to get a 2-0 series win especially after winning the first test in Pretoria by just two wickets.
The home team made three changes, debuting 18-year-old Kwena Maphaka, the youngest player to play Test cricket for South Africa.
