Meanwhile, Tilak took the No. 2 spot in the ICC T20I rankings, as Travis Head's form has dipped.

Head has scored just 5 and 2 against South Africa at home, after missing the five-match T20I series against the West Indies. His rating dropped to 782 points, causing him to fall two spots to No. 4 in the T20I rankings. The top spot now belongs to India’s Abhishek Sharma, followed by Tilak and England’s Phil Salt.

There’s a new face in the top 10 T20I batters. Australia’s Tim David has been in great form, following a century in the West Indies with two fifties against South Africa, proving he deserves his spot higher up the order. His teammate Cameron Green also jumped six places to No. 17, thanks to his outstanding T20I performances. South Africa’s 22-year-old Dewald Brevis made a massive jump too, moving up 80 spots to No. 21 after scoring a record-breaking century on August 12.

Rohit Sharma has retired from T20Is and Tests with his only active format being ODIs, which he last played in March during the Champions Trophy final against New Zealand. With India’s next 50-over match scheduled for October against Australia, there have been growing questions about his ODI future with some speculating that he might not feature in the 2027 World Cup. Despite not playing for the past five months, Rohit has risen to No. 2 in the ICC ODI rankings with 756 points, just behind Shubman Gill leads with 784 points. Virat Kohli is in fourth place, according to the latest rankings released on Wednesday.

West Indies pаcer Jayden Seales saw a big rise in the ICC ODI bowler rаnkings jumping 24 places to No. 33 after his record-breaking performance of 6 wickets for 18 runs against Pаkistan. Another West Indies bowler, left-arm spinner Gudаkesh Motie climbed five spots to No. 12. There were no changes in the top 10. In Test cricket, New Zealand’s Mаtt Henry moved into the third spot in the bowling rankings replacing Australia’s captain Pat Cummins. Henry earned this spot after taking 16 wickets at an average of 9.12 against Zimbabwe, including a six-wicket haul.
