Rain Casts Shadow on the Brisbane Test

There are just a few hours left for the third test match of the Border Gavaskar, which will be played at the Gabba, Brisbane. But there are reports about the increased rain probability during the test match. In four out of five days of test matches, weather prediction websites are showing more than 60% probability of getting rain.

As the Series is very important to both teams for their WTC finals prospects, it's going to be a high-intensity game between them. The only thing both teams don't want is rain interrupting the game. From the videos that have come out of the practice sessions, it looks like there is going to be a green top pitch for the third test.

In the five-day test match, only the fifth day has a one percent precipitation chance, while the first, second, third, and fourth days have 88%, 58%, 60%, and 55%, respectively.

The famous weather website weather.com suggests there is more than a 60% chance that there will be an early morning rain before the start of the game, which can continue until 9:00 a.m. local time. It also suggests that there is less chance of rain after that, but rain can come again around the tea. This scenario predicts that a full 90 overs might not get bowled in the day.

With overcast conditions and a green top pitch, the first day of the game is going to be pacers friendly, whether Indian places or Australian pacers. Both side's pacers will enjoy the conditions if they get a chance to bowl.

The website also suggests that there are chances of rain on day 2, too, but that will be limited to only in the morning session. The sky may get clear in the afternoon and then remain the same. While on day before the game there were overcasts condition, see video:

Before that, in the first two games of the Series, India won the first test match dominantly, while Australia bounced back in the second test and won the day-night test match by ten wickets. The second test match also witnessed Travis Head's outstanding 140-run century. The Test Match also became a part of controversy during the Travis Head dismissal. After the batter got dismissed, there was an exchange of words between Siraj and Travis Head, which was not appropriate. Both players were penalised by the ICC for violating the ICC Code of Conduct.

India and Australia both the team are looking to win the upcoming test matches to secure their position in the World Test Championship's final, which will be played in London next year.
