IPL franchise Punjab Kings has announced the replacement player for injured Glenn Maxwell. Punjab Kings have signed him for ₹3 crore. His aggressive batting and all-round skills are expected to boost the team’s middle order.

Glenn Maxwell had a poor IPL 2025 season with the Punjab Kings. He scored only 48 runs in 6 matches, with a highest score of 30 against the Rajasthan Royals. His average was just 8.20, and he got out for single-digit scores in four games.

His contribution in bowling was also limited, taking 4 wickets. However, his performance lacked consistency. In a match against the Gujarat Titans, he was trapped LBW off the first ball while attempting a reverse sweep, his 19th duck in the IPL. This is the record for most ducks in league history.
