Noman Ali Makes History as First Pakistan Spinner to Take a Test Hat-Trick

On Saturday, January 25 the exciting Test series between Pakistan and West Indies has been started. The Pakistan star spinner Noman Ali created history during the second Test against the West Indies at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

In this match, Noman Ali joined the elite list of Pakistan bowlers alongside Wasim Akram who was the first Pakistan's excellent pacer to take a hat-trick in Test cricket. Noman became only the fifth Pakistan bowler to take a hat-trick in the Test cricket. Before Noamn Ali, Naseem Shah the star pacer had taken a hat-trick against Bangladesh in 2020 at Rawalpindi.

West Indies team won the toss and chose to bat first. Pakistan has selected the three frontline spinners for the second test, this decision turned out to be a game-changer for Pakistan. During Day 1 of the Test match, Noman Ali bowled well with his excellent line and length, perfectly suited to the pitch, and made an immediate impact to take wickets for Pakistan.

In the second over of Noman Ali's spell, he dismissed the West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite. and with his remarkable bowling, he took another four wickets. In the first innings of the West Indies, during the 12th over, Noman Ali took a hat-trick. On his very first delivery, he dismissed J. Greaves for 1 run, followed by T. Imlach for a duck and K. Sinclair for zero to complete his hat-trick.

With this hat-trick, Noman Ali made history by becoming the first Pakistan spinner to take a hat-trick in Test cricket. Noman Ali's amazing bowling troubled the West Indies batting lineup.
