Litton Das Returns as Bangladesh Announce Squad for West Indies T20 Series

Bangladesh captain Litton Das has made his return to the T20I squad after recovering from a side strain.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 15-member team for the first two T20 matches against West Indies, which will be played in Chattogram starting October 27. Litton had sustained the injury ahead of the Asia Cup clash against India and was subsequently ruled out of the remainder of the tournament, as well as the white-ball series against Afghanistan and the ongoing ODIs against West Indies.

The right-handed batter started batting again at the indoor nets of the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Wednesday (October 22) and completed the session without any trouble, clearing the way for his return.

All-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin, who played in the Asia Cup and the T20 series against Afghanistan, has not been included in the squad. All three T20 matches will take place at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram on October 27, 29, and 31.

Bangladesh T20I squad: Litton Kumer Das (c), Tanzid Hasan, Parvez Hossain Emon, Saif Hassan, Towhid Hridoy, Jaker Ali Anik, Shamim Hossain, Quazi Nurul Hasan Sohan, Shak Mahedi Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Nasum Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Taskin Ahmed, and Shoriful Islam.
