Khaleel Ahmed Ruled Out of IPL 2026 After Suffering Quadricep Injury

Due to a thigh injury, Khaleel Ahmed of the Chennai Super Kings will not participate in any games during IPL 2026; he requires at least 12 weeks of recovery time.

CSK Face Injury Trouble as Khaleel Ahmed Ruled Out of IPL 2026

Khaleel Ahmed suffered his injury while playing against the Kolkata Knight Riders on April 14 at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium. He left the field after five balls of his last over, and young player Gurjapneet Singh completed that last over.

The loss of Khaleel Ahmed is a tremendous blow to Chennai, who have already lost MS Dhoni, who is still recovering and able to practice lightly, and Nathan Ellis, who won't play the entire season. Ellis' replacement, Spencer Johnson, is also not available for CSK.

Now, CSK would consider other players. Mukesh Choudhary is an equally suitable replacement. Ramakrishna Ghosh is yet another choice who is fast bowler as well as batsman.

Ramakrishna Ghosh has shown exceptional performance in Vijay Hazare Trophy. In one game, he managed 7 wickets with only 42 runs and even managed 64 runs in another game. CSK has won only 2 out of 5 games till now. They will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in their next game on Saturday.
