Jatinder Singh Named Captain of Oman’s 15-Man Squad for T20 World Cup 2026

Oman Cricket has officially announced their squad for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka. Top-order batter Jatinder Singh will captain the 15-player team. The tournament will be held from February 7 to March 8. Meanwhile, Vinayak Shukla has been designated as the vice-captain of the side.
Oman has played in the T20 World Cup three times before, and the next one will be their fourth appearance. As a result, they will be motivated to make it further when the league stage matches end. Notably, Oman have been placed in Group B for the event, alongside Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and Ireland.
The Asian nation will be hoping to make it to the Super 8s. Zimbabwe will be the first opponent for Oman in the group stage campaign, as the two teams will take centre stage on February 9 at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo.
Next up, they will be facing the co-hosts Sri Lanka at the Pallekele International Stadium on February 12. After playing the Irishmen on 14th, the side will have a long break for their last group stage fixture against Australia on February 20.
