‘It Was a Great Ball’: Virat Kohli Reacts to Himanshu Sangwan’s Stunning Dismissal in Ranji Trophy

‘It Was a Great Ball’: Virat Kohli’s Reaction After Himanshu Sangwan’s Stunning DismissalThe Railways star bowler Himanshu Sangwan faced a storm of criticism on social media after he dismissed Virat Kohli in the Ranji Trophy match against Delhi at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The star Indian batter Virat Kohli, playing domestic cricket after 13 years. But Kohli managed to score only six runs off 15 balls before Himanshu bowled him out, sending his off stump flying. While Kohli’s fans were harsh on the bowler, the star batter himself seemed impressed with the delivery that got him out.

The stadium was packed with fans chanting "Kohli! Kohli!" as the fans waited to watch him bat. The 36-year-old gave them a glimpse of his class by stepping out and driving a fuller delivery from Himanshu down the ground for a boundary. But the bowler had the last laugh. On the very next ball, he bowled a brilliant in-swinger that sneaked through Kohli’s bat and pad, crashing into the stumps.

After the match, which Delhi won by an innings and 19 runs, Himanshu met Kohli in the dressing room, holding the same ball that had dismissed the former India captain on Day 2.

According to the reports, Kohli asked Himanshu, "Is this the same ball that got me out?" When the bowler confirmed, Kohli smiled and said, "It was a great ball, I enjoyed it." He then signed the ball, and Himanshu told him that he had once been part of Delhi’s under-19 team. Kohli responded warmly, saying, "I have heard about you. You’re a good bowler. All the best for your future."

Himanshu Sangwan’s Dream Wicket

The Railways star bowler Himanshu made headlines after dismissing the star batter in the Ranji Trophy called it the biggest moment of his career.

"This is the most special wicket of my life, without a doubt. Virat Kohli is an inspiration for the whole country, I have never seen so many people turn up for a Ranji Trophy match. It was a special moment for all of us." Himanshu said.

Despite Kohli’s early dismissal, Delhi dominated the game. Skipper Ayush Badoni (99) and Sumit Mathur (86) led the charge, helping Delhi post 374 in response to Railways’ first-innings total of 241. Off-spinner Shivam Sharma then took five wickets, bundling out Railways for just 114 runs on Day 3, sealing Delhi’s second win of the season.
