IPL 2026 Update: RR May Shift Home Games from Jaipur to MCA Stadium, Pune

IPL 2026 Update: RR May Shift Home Games from Jaipur to MCA Stadium, Pune

[ Poll: 8LDXDYLk ]

Rajasthan Royals (RR) are reportedly thinking about leaving the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur before IPL 2026. This comes after an RCA official allegedly accused the team of match-fixing last season, a claim the franchise strongly denied. Because of this tension, RR are now considering moving their home ground to Pune for the next season.

According to Cricbuzz, Rajasthan Royals (RR) want to play their home matches at the MCA Stadium in Gahunje, Pune, for the next IPL season. Earlier, it was also reported that Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) had shown interest in using the same stadium because it’s still unclear whether the Chinnaswamy Stadium will be available for IPL 2026.

However, the final decision will be taken by the BCCI, and the Maharashtra Cricket Association first needs to confirm whether they are ready to host an IPL team.

“Yes, they were here to find out details about the capacity of the stadium, the nature of the pitches and hotels in the city. Our president, Mr. Rohit Pawar, is very keen that the IPL returns to the city. He is making all possible efforts,” an MCA official said.

As per the report, an operations team from RR was in Pune recently to assess the stadium, connectivity to the airport and other logistical issues. The report claims that if the relocation is successful, then RR will play at least four games in Pune while three other games will be held in their second home ground Guwahati.

Reports say that RR have already had early talks with the MCA about shifting their home games. The MCA is still thinking about whether to accept RCB’s request, while RR have already emailed them asking for a final answer. The report also mentions that RR are ready to sign an agreement with the MCA, but RCB have not yet made up their mind.
