IPL 2026: PBKS Retained & Released Players List and Remaining Purse

IPL 2026: PBKS Retained & Released Players List and Remaining Purse

[ Poll: KyRNj1yA ]

Punjab Kings have let go of Glenn Maxwell and Josh Inglis ahead of the IPL 2026 auction. There were rumors that Maxwell might join another team, but Punjab couldn’t find anyone willing to trade for him. So, they decided to release the Australian, who had been signed for INR 4.2 crore.

The decision to release Inglis was a bit surprising. Ricky Ponting explained that Inglis himself contacted the team and said he would miss most of the 2026 season. Considering this, Punjab Kings chose to release him.

Aaron Hardie has also been released by Punjab Kings. Kuldeep Sen and Praveen Dubey have also been let go by the franchise. They have more or less a settled squad and will only target a few back-ups.

Ponting confirmed that the playing XI looks sorted, and with that, Punjab can once again be a strong title contender. Last year, they qualified for the final but suffered a defeat to Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the summit clash.
