IPL 2026: BCCI Calls Meeting of All Team Captains at Wankhede Stadium Before Season Start

The countdown for the 19th edition of the Indian Premier League is almost completed. The BCCI has scheduled a meeting with all the IPL 2026 team captains and their respective managers. The meeting is scheduled to take place on March 26, 2026, at 12:30 PM at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

BCCI to hold IPL captains meeting in Mumbai on March 26

This is going to be the final meeting before the tournament begins on March 28. The meeting is necessary, especially in light of the upcoming Assembly Elections in various states. The team captains of various teams are scheduled to attend the meeting. Rajat Patidar is scheduled to attend the meeting on behalf of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, who won the tournament last season.

Hardik Pandya is scheduled to attend the meeting on behalf of the Mumbai Indians, who are captained by Pandya. Shreyas Iyer of Punjab Kings, Pat Cummins of Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Riyan Parag of Rajasthan Royals are also scheduled to attend the meeting. Ajinkya Rahane of Kolkata Knight Riders and Rishabh Pant, the new captain of Lucknow Super Giants, are also scheduled to attend the meeting.

The captains will also take the traditional picture with the IPL trophy. The officials will discuss the new 84-match format for this season. The teams will also finalize the additional home venues, such as Raipur and New Chandigarh. The first match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad is just around the corner, and this meeting will help the teams iron out the last-minute issues before the tournament begins in Bengaluru.
