IPL 2025: Updated Orange and Purple Cap standings after the CSK vs RCB match

The IPL 2025 season has already seen some amazing performances. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Chepauk in the 8th match last night, and there’s a new leader for the Purple Cap.
RCB is now at the top of the points table with four points from two games, while Rajasthan Royals are at the bottom after losing both their matches.
Despite their position on the points table, there have been some individual performances that have stolen the show and playing brilliantly for the side with bat and ball. Therefore, let's have a look at the current orange and purple cap holders in this edition of the IPL 2025.
Orange Cap standings
Nicholas Pooran continues to lead the run-scorers' list after his explosive 70-run knock from just 26 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He now has 145 runs from two matches at an impressive average of 72.50. His teammate Mitchell Marsh holds the second spot, followed by Travis Head, Ishan Kishan, and Rachin Ravindra.

In second position is Shardul Thakur from LSG, whereas Josh Hazlewood, Khaleel Ahmed, and Sai Kishore are third, fourth, and fifth, respectively.
