IPL 2025 Points Table: Updated Team Ranking, Standings, and Net Run Rate After CSK vs RCB

IPL 2025 Points Table: Updated Team Ranking, Standings, and Net Run Rate After CSK vs RCBRoyal Challengers Bengaluru triumphed over Chennai Super Kings convincingly at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium to retain their spot at the top of the IPL 2025 points table. With only one win in two matches, CSK slipped from fourth to seventh place on the table due to the defeat. With their five-wicket triumph against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad on Thursday, the Lucknow Super Giants secured their first points of the season and climbed to second place in the standings.

On a humid Chennai evening, RCB initially posted an imposing 196/7 before decisively defending it by restricting CSK to 146/8 in 20 overs. From an early top-order collapse in the powerplay to consistently keeping CSK from gaining momentum, RCB maintained control with the ball throughout the chase.

Captain Rajat Patidar led from the front with a brilliant half-century (51 off 32). Noor Ahmad continued his stellar form for CSK, claiming 3/36 in four overs and donning the purple cap for leading the wicket charts this season. CSK fell short by 50 runs, finishing their innings at 146/8 in 20 overs. Their batting lineup was dismantled by Josh Hazlewood (3/21), Yash Dayal (2/18 in 3 overs) and Liam Livingstone (2/28 in 4 overs).
