IPL 2025: RCB Set to Wear Green Jerseys for the Match Against Rajasthan Royals

IPL 2025: RCB Set to Wear Green Jerseys for the Match Against Rajasthan RoyalsRoyal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are all set to wear their special green jersey in the upcoming clash against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Sunday, April 13 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The green jersey made from recycled fabric is part of RCB’s ongoing effort to raise awareness about conservation and protect the environment. This meaningful initiative has been a part of the franchise’s journey in the IPL since 2011.

RCB, the IPL’s first carbon-neutral franchise, began this green initiative at their home ground to get fans involved throughout the season. Through this effort, they hope to connect even more with their supporters and work toward their bigger goal of becoming carbon-positive.

Their sustainability efforts aren’t just symbolic they’re backed by real data. The team regularly conducts carbon audits to track their environmental impact and uses surveys to better understand their carbon footprint. As part of the matchday gesture, RCB captain Rajat Patidar will also present a plant to RR skipper Sanju Samson during the toss.

“For us, it’s about being bold both on and off the field. Our green jerseys are more than just a symbol; they’re a call to action,” Menon said. “As proud representatives of the Garden City and sustainability is naturally close to our hearts. Through this initiative we want to use RCB’s cultural and social power to spread awareness and encourage fans to take small steps toward conservation.” RCB COO, Rajesh Menon said.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru are having a solid campaign in IPL 2025, sitting in the top half of the table with three wins from five games. Their two losses have come at home, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, against Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals. Heading into their next match against Rajasthan Royals, RCB will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Delhi. A win in this game will be crucial for them to remain in the top half of the points table. Historically, RCB have a good record against Rajasthan Royals winning 15 out of the 32 encounters, while RR have won 14 with three matches ending without a result.
