IPL 2025 Points Table: Updated Team Ranking, Standings, and Net Run Rate After LSG vs PBKS

IPL 2025 Points Table: Updated Team Ranking, Standings, and Net Run Rate After LSG vs PBKSPrabhsimran Singh and Shreyas Iyer played pivotal roles in the Punjab Kings (PBKS) dominating eight-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their IPL 2025 match at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on April 1, Tuesday. Both the batters hit quickfire fifties, with Nehal Wadhera's 43-run crucial knock also adding strength to PBKS's chase to help them win their second successive match of the season. LSG lost their second match in three games.

With this victory, Punjab Kings have moved up to second place in the IPL 2025 points table, accumulating four points from two consecutive wins. Prior to defeating LSG, PBKS kick-started their campaign with a thrilling triumph over Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. on the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants have slipped to sixth place in the standings after their second loss of the season.

Chasing a target of 172, Shreyas Iyer finished the game in style for PBKS, launching a six-over mid-wicket to not only secure victory but also bring up his second half-century of the season. His steady knock along with Prabhsimran Singh’s explosive fifty and Nehal Wadhera’s quickfire cameo helped PBKS cruise to the target with 22 balls to spare.

Following a fine knock of 97 in the last game, Iyer looked determined to carry forward his rich form. He started in cautious mode, permitting Prabhsimran Singh to handle the aggressive strokeplay during the powerplay. Lucknow's Digvesh Rathi was the only wicket-taker for his team, getting both Punjab openers out.

On the bowling side, Arshdeep Singh proved his mettle with match-winning breakthroughs, taking both early in the game and at the death. His three-wicket haul was the most impressive of all bowling performances for PBKS. Punjab Kings will next face Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 5, while Lucknow Super Giants will play against Mumbai Indians on April 4.
