IPL 2025 Points Table: Team Rankings After SRH vs LSG Match

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) picked up a solid six-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on May 19. Chasing a big target of 206, SRH made it look easy, with a quick-fire 59 from just 20 balls by Abhishek Sharma and a calm 47 off 28 by Heinrich Klaasen. With this win, SRH added their fourth victory to the season.

The loss ended Lucknow Super Giants chances of making it to the IPL 2025 playoffs. Even though they put up a good fight with the bat earlier in the match, their season ended with just 5 wins from 12 games bringing a disappointing close to their campaign.

Even with the win, Sunrisers Hyderabad didn’t move up the points table. They stayed in eighth place with nine points from twelve matches and four wins so far. Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings are still at the bottom with six points each, with net run rate being the only thing separating them.

Gujarat Titans dominant win over Delhi Capitals on Sunday helped them hold on to the top spot in the points table. With 18 points from 12 games and a strong net run rate of +0.795, they’ve all but locked in a top-two finish heading into the playoffs. Their qualification also confirmed spots in the knockouts for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who sit second with 17 points (NRR +0.482), and Punjab Kings, placed third with 17 points (NRR +0.389).
