Top Order

For the top order, Chennai Super Kings has two New Zealand batters as the openers, all-rounder Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway. Conway scored a crucial half-century in the last match against Punjab in a big run chase but couldn't score at the pace needed, after which he was retired out. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad will be batting at the third position. 

Middle Order
For the middle order, CSK’s lineup includes all-rounders Shivam Dube and Vijay Shankar. Shivam has yet to perform for CSK in this season, while Vijay Shankar also yet to score runs. At number 6, legendary finisher MS Dhoni will bat and finish the innings for the team while Ravindra Jadeja in the lower middle order.

Bowlers

On the bowling side, Chennai Super Kings will have a very strong spin attack along with a decent pace lineup. With three key spinners, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja will lead the attack along with this season's star bowler Noor Ahmed. As the match will be played on the spin-friendly pitch of MA Chidambaram Stadium, this spin attack could definitely create trouble for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the upcoming match.
