India’s Full Asia Cup 2025 Schedule in Dubai: Arrival, Training Timings & Key Updates

Defending champions India will kick off their final preparations for the Asia Cup 2025 with a full practice session on Friday evening at the ICC Academy in Dubai. The team will train from 6 to 9 pm, marking their first group session ahead of the tournament.

This time, unlike earlier events, there was no training camp in India. The BCCI has asked the players to come straight to Dubai for a longer period of practice before their first match.

India Begins Final Preparations for Asia Cup 2025 in Dubai

The squad members have begun leaving in groups. Captain Suryakumar Yadav and all-rounder Hardik Pandya have already left, while head coach Gautam Gambhir is expected to arrive in Dubai on Thursday evening from Mumbai. The new vice-captain, Shubman Gill, will join the team from Bengaluru.

The team won’t be travelling together; players will arrive in Dubai at different times. Everyone has been asked to reach Dubai by Thursday evening, and practice will officially start on Friday.

The Asia Cup kicks off on Tuesday, September 9, with Afghanistan taking on Hong Kong in Abu Dhabi. India, looking to defend their title, will play their first match against the hosts UAE in Dubai on Wednesday, September 10. After that, they face their big rivals Pakistan on Sunday, September 14, and then play Oman on September 19. The playoffs will begin on September 20.
