ICC Women’s T20I Rankings: Smriti Mandhana Jumps To No. 3 Spot, Shafali Verma & Harleen Deol Also Rise Up
India’s stand-in captain Smriti Mandhana has made a big move in the latest ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings. After her stunning 62-ball 112 against England, which helped India to a dominant 97-run win, she has climbed to third place with a career-best 771 rating points. This puts her just 23 points behind top-ranked batter Beth Mooney, making her a strong contender for the No.1 spot.
With a packed schedule coming up for India, Smriti Mandhana has a great chance to push for the No.1 spot across both white-ball formats. Her opening partner, Shafali Verma, also made progress in the latest rankings, climbing to 13th after scoring 20 runs in the same match. Harleen Deol chipped in with a brisk 43, re-entered the batter rankings now placed jointly at 86th.
Lauren Bell Breaks into Top 4 in ICC Women’s T20I Bowling Rankings
England fast bowler Lauren Bell made a strong leap in the latest ICC T20I rankings after her three-wicket haul in Nottingham, moving up two spots to a career-best fourth among T20I bowlers. Skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt also saw gains her 66 off 42 balls helped her earn 20 rating points, taking her to a personal best of 663 points while holding steady at ninth place in the batting rankings.
Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal continues to hold the top spot in the ICC Women’s T20I bowling rankings, but the competition is getting tighter, with only 44 rating points separating the top 10 bowlers. India’s Shree Charani made a memorable debut, picking up four wickets and entering the rankings at 450th.
