Former cricketer leaks Pakistan's T20I and ODI squads for New Zealand tour

Former Pakistan cricketer Rashid Latif has leaked the squads for the upcoming white-ball series against New Zealand. Pakistan is expected to make big changes to their squad for the upcoming New Zealand tour, which includes five T20Is and three ODIs. According to sources, senior players might be rested, and a new captain could be appointed for the series.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has completed the consultation process regarding the national men’s team’s white-ball squads for the New Zealand tour, scheduled to run from March 16 to April 5.

Sources also said that former fast bowler Aqib Javed will likely continue as the interim head coach since the cricket board didn't have enough time to begin the hiring process. Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Yousuf is expected to take over as the batting coach, replacing Shahid Aslam. Meanwhile, Azhar Mahmood will continue as the bowling coach, and Muhammad Masroor will stay on as the fielding coach.

Pakistan’s white-ball captain, Mohammad Rizwan, will lead the ODI team. However, there might be a few minor changes to the squad, according to sources.

Pakistan’s T20I team is set for big changes as the PCB looks to bring in young talents and top domestic players. Senior players like captain Mohammad Rizwan, star batter Babar Azam, vice-captain Salman Ali Agha, and fast bowler Naseem Shah are likely to be rested.

All-rounder Shadab Khan, who last played in June last year during the T20 World Cup match against Ireland, is expected to captain Pakistan in the upcoming five-match T20I series against New Zealand.
