England's New Star, Jacob Bethell, is all set to Roar in the IPL.

Young English batter Jacob Bethell has shown explosive batting since his debut. He performed very well in the first test match against New Zealand, his debut match, proving that it was the right decision to let him bat at number three despite any prior experience.
New Contracts and IPL Entry
Bethell played at number three for the first time in his professional cricket career during the first test against New Zealand; he didn't bat at the position even in his first-class career. He also recently received a contract upgrade from ECB until 2026, also bagged his first IPL contract with RCB at 2.6 Cr, which drew bids from multiple franchises.

Jacob got to play in the England team due to the injury of wicketkeeper Jordan Cox, who was Jamie Smith's replacement. After both wicketkeepers' absences, Ollie Pope needed to do wicketkeeping and, hence, bat down the order to get some rest.
In the first two matches of the series, Jacob scored a vital half-century, which helped England win well. In the second test match, he scored a brilliant 96 alongside big scores from Joe Root and other betters in the second inning, which helped England set a massive target of 563.
There were questions about his ability to score runs at the number 3 position when he hadn't batted at that position in his lifetime. The chance England took on him pays off with two half-centuries in the two test matches.
Ben Stokes's Opinion on Bethell
"I know there was a bit made of Beth batting at three with his inexperience and the lack of first-class cricket batting at the top of the order,"
England captain Ben Stokes said in the post-match press conference.
"But you know, coach Brendon McCullum and I don't think like that. You have a young lad with so much potential and talent; why not let him go out there and expose himself to test cricket at its toughest?"

"If he hadn't batted in the top three, he wouldn't have slapped 50 odd (in Christchurch), which I've got no doubt led him into this game with the confidence to go out there and play the way he did in our second innings."
in the press conference, stokes said that he was devastated that he missed his first hundred
"I walked in and said to him, 'It's only four runs, isn't it?' And his response was, 'yeah, but it would have been flare if I'd smacked that through the covers to bring it up, class."
In his 7 T20 international appearances, Jacob has scored 176 runs with an average of 57.66. With this performance number, RCB is very excited about his induction into the team for the IPL 2025.
