The Karnataka-born batter had traveled to Mumbai earlier that day, missing Delhi Capitals’ first match of IPL 2025. During the contest, it was disclosed that Rahul’s wife, Athiya Shetty had given birth to their daughter, with the news being shared through her Instagram handle.
