Bumrah, Cummins, and Paterson are nominated for the ICC Player of the Month award for December 2024

For the ICC Men's Player of the Month award for December 2024, the players nominated are Jasprit Bumrah, who is very good in fast bowling from India, then Pat Cummins from Australia, who's an iconic captain, and also Dane Paterson who's a fast bowler for South Africa.

Bumrah, India's star bowler earned his nomination for his amazing skills displayed in the latest Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. The 31-year-old took an amazing 32 wickets across five tests. Specifically during just three tests, he picked 22 wickets having an amazing average of 14.22. However, a back spasm stopped him from bowling in Australia's second innings in Sydney.

Bumrah really demonstrated by taking nine wickets in both the Brisbane and Melbourne Tests, which was vitally important for India. He's currently competing against Pat Cummins, the man who led Australia to win a 3-1 series victory against India, and Dane Paterson who played some important matches for South Africa.

Cummins improved his performance, getting 17 wickets across three tests when playing against India, with an average of just 17.64 runs. His most impressive figures came in Adelaide where he took 5 wickets for just 57 runs, Not simply with the ball, Cummins also contributed to batting by scoring 49 runs in the first innings and 41 runs in the second innings in the Melbourne test. That amazing performance secured Australia a dominant 10-wicket win against India.

Dane Paterson played an important role in making South Africa win over Pakistan and Sri Lanka. He has taken 13 wickets with an average of just 16.92. After winning the first test against Pakistan, South Africa became the table toppers of the WTC points table and qualified for the finals against Australia.
