Ben Stokes Injured During The Final Test Against New Zealand: Another Hamstering Torned
The team’s captain and premier all-rounder, Ben Stokes, got injured in another blow to England. The incident happened in the 56th over. After bowling two balls in the over, Stokes pulled up his hamstring, and after increasing discomfort, he left the ground and returned to the dressing room.
Stokes had torn his same left leg hamstring in August, which caused him to miss the entire Three-test home series against Sri Lanka. After he became fit, he joined the team again during the tour of Pakistan for the second test.
Stokes, who is 33 years old, bowled 23 overs during New Zealand’s first Innings maximum in a single day during his whole career, while he had already bowled 66.3 overs in the series, which is the most since he became the captain.
After the injury, team management released a statement about Stokes's injury. It confirmed that he is receiving treatment for his left hamstring issue and would not return to the field during the New Zealand innings.

Though the England team has already won the series' first test match, England is chasing a big target of 558 runs in the third test match. The test match result is obvious, but England might miss Ben Stokes in the innings if other players performed. In the coming days, we will learn how significant the injury is and how long it will take for Stokes to be back again on the ground.
In the third test match, during the first innings, New Zealand scored 347 runs while England Was all out for just 143 runs. New Zealand again scored high, taking the total lead of 657. England lost two wickets in the first five overs of the chase.
