Ben Stokes’ Family Targeted in Burglary: Irreplaceable Items Stolen

LONDON (AP) — England cricket captain Ben Stokes revealed that masked burglars broke into his Castle Eden home on October 17, stealing jewellery and other “irreplaceable” personal belongings while his wife and two young children were inside. Stokes was in Pakistan with the national team, having returned from injury just before the incident.
Among the stolen items was Stokes' OBE medal, an honor bestowed on him by the country. Expressing his distress on social media, he noted, “The worst part of this crime is that it happened while my family was home. Thankfully, they were not physically harmed, but the emotional impact has been significant.”
The burglars took various valuables, many of which held sentimental value for Stokes and his family. He hopes that by sharing the news and photos of the stolen items, he can assist local authorities in catching the perpetrators.
