BCCI Announces Central Contracts for 2024-25: Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan Make a Comeback

BCCI has announced the central contract for the 2024-25 season, in which Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan have entered, who were left out of the central contract last season. Varun Chakravarthy and Abhishek Sharma have also been given a place in this contract. This contract will be from 1 October 2024 to 30 September 2025. In the contract list, Indian team captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja have been placed in the A+ category, and they have already retained that place.

A+ Grade: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja

A Grade: Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami, Rishabh Pant

B Grade: Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shreyas Iyer

C Grade: Rinku Singh, Tilak Verma, Rituraj Gaikwad, Shivam Dubey, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Rajat Patidar, Dhruv Jurel, Sarfaraz Khan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Ishan Kishan, Abhishek Sharma, Akash Deep, Varun Chakravarthy, Harshit Rana

Talking about the central contract list, spin bowler Varun Chakravarthy, who performed brilliantly in the ICC Champions Trophy, has got a place in the central contract for the first time. Apart from this, Ravichandran Ashwin, who has said goodbye to international cricket, has been dropped from the central contract.

Apart from this, the big news that has come out is that Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan, who were dropped from the central contract last year due to not playing domestic cricket, have been entered. Shreyas Iyer had performed brilliantly for domestic cricket and then for the Indian team. So Ishan Kishan had scored a century in the recently played IPL 2025 season and now he has been entered.
