BCB Removes Eight Players from BPL Draft Over Match-Fixing Suspicions

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has removed at least eight players from the final draft list for the upcoming BPL auction after putting them in the “red-flag” category because of their actions in the last season. This step is linked to concerns about match-fixing.
Earlier, BPL governing council member and BCB vice-president Shakhawat Hossain told Cricbuzz that they do not want to include any player with a tainted past in the draft.

He said this is to ensure the new season takes place without any fixing issues. According to the players draft list that was sent to the franchises on Sunday, both seen and obtained by this website, there are at least eight cricketers missing from the latest list that was prepared on the basis of a report prepared by BCB integrity unit which is headed by Alex Marshall.
"They are omitted from the list as per the report of the integrity unit as they were found in red flag zone and we cannot tell anything further in this regard," said the official.
A three-member independent committee investigated the fixing allegations from last season’s BPL and submitted a 900-page report. The report found that around 18–19 people were involved in some way, including 8–10 players who were suspected of match-fixing.
