Arrest Warrant Issued for Robin Uthappa in PF Fraud Case

Former Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa has been issued an arrest warrant for allegedly cheating Provident Fund (PF). The warrant, issued by PF Regional Commissioner Shadakshari Gopal Reddy, directed the Pulakeshinagar police to take necessary action.
Uthappa is accused of running his private firm named Centuries Lifestyle Brand Private Limited. He would deduct some PF contributions from the wages of employees but had not paid them. Such an exercise led to an alleged fraud worth Rs 23 lakh.
December 4 In a letter, the Commissioner directed the police to execute the arrest warrant. The warrant was returned to the PF office as Uthappa is reportedly no longer living at his previous address. Officials said, "The warrant, issued on December 4, was returned after Mr. Uthappa was found not to be at his Pulakeshinagar residence."
Robin Uthappa, the formеr opening batsman of India, is residing in Dubai with his family, according to reports. Arrest warrant reveals that his default in the deposit of Provident Fund dues has prevented PF office to settle the account of all the affected employees. The police have bеen asked to apprehend Uthappa and return the warrant by December 27. Uthappa has playеd for India in 59 international matches, scored 1,183 runs in 54 ODI innings, and played for teams such as Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Mumbai Indians in the IPL. He was a part of KKR's winning squad in 2014 and is an aggrеssive batsman.
Authorities are now hunting for the whereabouts of Uthappa in order to continue the process and make the necessary legal moves.
